VESTIBULAR & DIZZINESS
The inner ear serves several crucial functions, notably contributing to our sense of balance and equilibrium. Dysfunction within the vestibular system, a component of the inner ear responsible for balance, can manifest as feelings of imbalance, dizziness, or general unease. A targeted assessment is essential to discern the underlying causes of dizziness, determining whether one or both vestibular systems are implicated, or if additional factors such as communication disruptions between the inner ear and the brain contribute to symptoms.
Certain vestibular conditions, such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), often respond well to positional treatment, with significant improvement possible in just one session. Despite persistent dizziness over months or years, the body retains an inherent capacity to adapt and habituate to movements through therapeutic interventions aimed at symptom reduction.

In addition to movement-based therapies, advanced technologies play a pivotal role in retraining and stimulating the vestibular system, while also providing support to the visual and balance systems. These integrated approaches aim to expedite recovery and facilitate a return to preferred activities, promoting enhanced quality of life for individuals affected by vestibular dysfunction.

Vestibular assessments and treatment can be conducted via in-person visits as well as Telehealth.
