For in-person visits, what is your Point of Difference? Why are you different to other clinics?Practicing out of Brain Hub in Gladesville, I have access to state-of-the-art technology for both assessments as well as treatment. Assessments can include the following: Vestibular and Oculomotor Testing: This can be completed with the use of VNG and vHIT goggles, which use infra-red cameras. The eyes can show an incredible amount regarding brain function! Autonomic Nervous System Testing: Heart Rate Variability Testing (HRV) can provide insights on the stress tolerance of the body. The Autonomic Nervous System underpins much of the health of our response to movement, breathing, and overall immune response to stress. Physical Testing: Treadmill testing as well as passive Tilt-Table Testing are often used to determine response of the body to movement and gravity, as an indicator of Autonomic Nervous System health. Balance and Proprioception Testing: Force plate measurements of real-time balance as well as visual feedback tools are used to measure balance and body awareness. Brain Mapping (qEEG): A measurement of electrical patters (called brain waves) can provide insights to parts of the brain that are over or underperforming, and how this relates to your current symptoms and concerns. Cognitive Screening: Neurocognitive testing can provide insight on how you are processing information, attention, and memory. In addition to a tailored treatment plan of therapeutic exercises, some of the other tools I incorporate into my treatment sessions are: Photobiomodulation – laser therapy to support inflammation, injury and cellular recovery. Peripheral Nerve Stimulation – particularly helpful for those with headache and migraine patterns. Biofeedback – to support improved balance, proprioception, and body awareness. This is especially important following concussion and with vestibular issues. Vagal Nerve Stimulation – to support the Autonomic Nervous System Dry Needling … just to name a few!
